The Foundation Level exam comprises 40 multiple-choice questions,  with a 65% pass mark to be completed in 60 minutes. Participants that takes  the exam in non-native language will receive an additional 25 minute, So a  total of 75 minutes.

 

For now there is only online exams with the proctoring system.

 

There is no negative marking for the wrong answers. 

For Online exam, the link will be shared and there will be a briefing session on the rules and procedure before the exam.
The candidate cannot use any study material or use electronic devices (including mobile phones and smartwatches). Only an extra phone is allowed incase there is some connection problem then need to notify the proctor. 

A breach of the rules, obliges the proctor to invalidate the exam, resulting in an immediate failure. Breaches of the rules or cheating may lead to other actions as mentioned in the Terms and condition. 

 

 

Foundation Level and Advanced Level ISTQB certificates, including the Specialist ones, are valid for the life time.

 

You may display the paper or electronic certificate that has been delivered to you. In addition, if available and if you authorize it, your name may be included on your ISTQB Member Board or Exam Provider on-line List of Certificate Holders.
You may also use the ISTQB Certified Tester logo in your profile with the indication of “CTFL”[Certified Tester Foundation Level]

 

The relevant ISTQB Syllabus and Glossary should be used as a minimum. Other suggested preparation material (books etc.) can be found in the “Reference” chapter of each syllabus or in the References section of the ISTQB Website.

Yes. You may take the exam as many times as desired. Full payment is required for each attempt.

Exam  results will be available within two weeks. Passing candidates will receive their certificate (digital) within eight weeks.

 

No, it'’ not required. However it's better to go through the syllabus and the content before appearing in the certification exam.

 

Once the registration and payment have been done, the payment would not be refunded. However, you can reschedule the exam for a maximum of two times within 6 months of the registration.

 

BASIC REQUIREMENT FOR ONLINE EXAMS ARE:
Candidate should have a PC/Laptop with a working browser. Mobile Phone is not supported for the assessment.
Candidate should disable any antivirus or VPN installed (specially in case the candidate is using corporate laptop)
Browser: Latest version of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Opera
Network Bandwidth: minimum 512 kbps
Supported OS: Windows, macOS, Linux based OS
Screen Resolution: 1024x768
Hardware Requirement: Integrated/External camera and mic (should be functional)

The candidates will be notified if they passed or failed the exam. Score/percentage will not be disclosed to the candidates.
